The Airport express was Sydney's only direct route express bus that took you from either central, Sydney city or kings cross, to the Airport. The Airport express operated all year round. First trip From Kings cross at 6:29 am And last trip from Kings cross left King's cross railway at 7:33pm, Trip used to run allot later than this.

The full trip took approximately an hour from kings cross, 50 minutes from Circular Quay and 20 minutes from Central Station, Eddy Avenue.

Fares Were as follows:
Adult: Return, $12.00. One way, $7.00. Inter - Terminal, $3.00
Child: Return, $6.00. One way, $3.50. Inter - terminal, $1.50
Family tickets could also be purchased for $30.00 Return, 17.50 one way, or 7.50 inter - terminal, which was for 2 Adults and any number of children.
An adult could also Purchase an "Airport Ten" which gave them Ten rides in either direction for only $55.00.

Buses Used on the Airport express were Mk 6's and One Mk 5, there were also Two Ansair Bodied o405 N's (3405 & 3406, which were painted into corporate and delivered to Newcastle. And One Low Floor Scania (3511,now on route work for Port Botany Depot). The Mk 5 3244 is the last remaining Mk 5 on a "Specialty Service". And 3390 At the time of operation was the only Mk 6 in Corporate.

Due to the Airport line, The Airport express sadly suffered loss of patronage and will be closed on the 10th of may, A tour will be held on the 11th of may and Will be the last chance for photo's of airport express buses, between now (04/16/2003) and the time of closure I will try my hardest to get as many photos as possible.
